Bullying is out of control
Todd Schobel, President, STOPit:
Back in the day, we had a few bullies at school, but they didn’t follow you home. Today, with these loaded weapons, they follow you 24/7/365. Technology has brought bullying to a place we never could have imagined.

Administrators want to stop it
Brian Luciani, Principal, Kenilworth NJ: As an administrator, trying to protect students, the biggest problem is we simply don’t know what’s happening. Students have created an insular world inside of social media. We can say good morning to someone walking to school, and never know what kind of torment that child or teenager may be enduring, or what’s on their mind. The genius of stopit, is that kids are giving us a window into that world, so that we can intervene and protect at risk children.
Role models want to stop it
Derek Jeter, STOPit Supporter: Hello, this is Derek Jeter. In the game of life, just like the game of baseball, great defense helps win the game and defense is a team effort. That’s why I, the Jeter’s Leaders, and the Turn 2 Foundation have joined the fight to help stop bullying. Every one of you can be a game changer. Stand Up and STOP it.
Law enforcement wants to stop it.
Sgt. Tom Rich, Police Officer, Bullying Expert: As a police officer on the STOPit outreach team, I know the importance of data and information in any investigation. Stopit was designed with both a simple and intuitive design for students, but also a powerful backend dashboard for administrators. Students can capture events whether in the real world or online, and report them easily and even anonymously. Administrators receive alerts, and can catalog them for monitoring and disciplinary action, and even law enforcement when required. STOPit was designed with everyone in mind – to protect students, to protect schools, and to protect communities. Implementation is simple, and results are almost immediate.
Brian Luciani: The minute we implemented stopit, the deterrence factor caught up by surprise. All of us expected that the app would be instrumental in reporting incidences of bullying and cyberbullying, which it’s done. What we didn’t expect was the fact that simply implementing the system and promoting it amongst the students would have such a powerful effect of deterrence. Because of stopit, now bullies can’t operate without their being consequences. And as we know, most bullies are cowards. STOPit stands up to those individuals so there are fewer incidences and victims in the first place.
You can stop it in your school
Todd Schobel: There is no parent, no teacher, and no school administrator who doesn’t want to protect kids from the terrible and too often tragic effects of bullying. And while bullying has always been around, social media, mobile phones, texting, and social apps has taken the problem to a point of crisis in our country. At stopit we realize that technology has created this problem, and that technology can solve it. Join us in teaming up to stop bullies in their tracks. Protect our kids, protect our schools, protect our communities , and protect our families. Find out more about how YOU can stopit.
Now is the time to STOP IT.
