Nettleton School District Launches HELPme App to Support Student Wellness and Safety
Jonesboro, AR | October, 11th 2024
Nettleton School District recently announced the launch of the HELPme app, a valuable new tool for students in grades 3-12. This app provides an additional layer of support for students facing challenges such as bullying, emotional difficulties, and other social pressures.
According to Jack Sample, Director of Campus Security and Truant Officer, "The HELPme app gives our students, families, and staff a convenient way to connect with both school and community resources for basic needs or mental health support."
He further explained that the app also allows users to report school safety concerns, with the option to remain anonymous if desired.
The HELPme app features three key functions: Get Resources, Crisis Text Line, and Ask for Help. Through these, users can access a range of services, including help with food insecurities, housing, mental health counseling, and crisis intervention.
"We're thrilled to provide this comprehensive tool that integrates access to vital resources with the ability to report safety concerns in one place," Sample added.
Students and their families can download the HELPme app from both the Apple App Store and Google Play. For more information, visit the Nettleton School District's student resources page.
