Through the STOPit mobile app, students will now have access to an easy-to-use platform designed to help them recognize and report at-risk behaviors anonymously. The app includes a 24/7 Incident Response Center and allows students to alert school administrators early on, helping to address potential issues before they escalate.
"Both North Lawrence Community Schools and STOPit are committed to protecting the privacy of student data," said Steve Underwood, Assistant Superintendent/Director of Safety. He added, "STOPit is a signatory to the Student Privacy Pledge, spearheaded by the Future of Privacy Forum and the Software & Information Industry Association."
This partnership aims to foster a kinder, more secure school community, both online and offline. Students are encouraged to download the STOPit app at no cost from the app store and begin using the platform to make a positive impact in their school environment.
“Together, we can ensure everyone in our community gets what they need to thrive,” Underwood concluded.
